The project “Sail In“ is a completely new component to arrange holiday and leisure time. The idea was to shorten the distance between port facilities, especially in impassible and also uninhabitated coastlines. This dock site makes it possible for people with little funds to visit and recover the seas and foreign countries by ship. Due to its simpleness the dock site provides a perfect basis for youth travels, etc. The construction is prosecuted by only one man which has to be conversant in sailing, navigation and first aid. He also undertakes the tasks of maintenance and selling groceries.
The basis of realising the dock line is a self-sufficiant infrastructure which covers the most important groups. By an energy-conscious aquaintance of solar- and wind energy the power requirement can be covered. The most important consumer loads are the sea- water desalination, the navigation lights, the pontoon illumination as well as communication and weather forecast. The lavatories are based on the technology of transportable lavatories and the showers are manually operated sea-water pumps. The used water is collected in integrated tanks.

The basis for this construction is the simplification and standardisation of the specific components. Integration instead of addition is in the fore. The basic construction is a welded, bent steel pipe which coevally is the basis for all attachment parts. A trampoline forms the base of each pontoon. The required parts for ladders and fasteners are integrated in the construction so that its closed form persists, without overhanging edges wich can cause damages. The substructure of the pontoon also forms the fixing for the railing and also contains the illumination by the use of LED- technique. Because of different climatical conditions the equipment of the dock line needs to be changed, for example more tents in tropical areas.
