Space travel is one of mankind’s oldest dreams. When, in 1969, Buzz Adrin and Neil Armstrong became the first humans to walk on the moon’s surface, the world looked on with awe, knowing that their dreams were only a small step away.

32 years later, Dennis Tito and Mark Shuttleworth become the first civil space tourists aboard the international space station ISS. Space tourism had finally become an exciting reality. ISS has since been inundated with bookings from people willing to pay $20,000,000 for a one-week trip to space.

The CSS – Commercial Space Station - is our answer to the growing interest in civil and commercial space travel, a promising niche market with highly lucrative potential.

It is expected that space transportation and travel costs will significantly reduce within the next 10-20 years. From the technological point of view, the realisation of the CSS could be started today.

Conceptually, the CSS is designed to provide its guests with an internal habitat similar to their earth-bound environment. This combats the effects of Space Adaptation Syndrome, which commonly affects space travellers. The CSS offers areas which facilitate guests’ adaptation to the space environment, facilities for individual microgravity experiences and private space for complete encapsulation.

CSS guests are able to enjoy the splendid views of earth, the moon and space from 400km above the earth’s surface.
The station is designed to provide maximum safety and security, and features a state-of-the-art maintenance system, which conducts automatic and frequent service checks of the structure. These measures ensure guests have a relaxing and have a worry-free experience.

A linear installation, created with a high degree of guidance, orientation and crew care, connects each module, leading to an area where guests can eventually enjoy a space walk outside the station.
