About In2Yourplace X SCHUNCK
If you are a young person from Parkstad in need of meeting peers, you can join In2YourPlace - part of LEVANTOgroep. Here, young people, aged between 16 and 27, get together in seven-week cycles in groups of up to 10 participants.
The regular meetings are content-driven by the needs and wishes of the young people at the time. The trainers themselves come from a similar background and therefore know what concerns young people. All this happens at Heerlen's youth hotspot: Outpoet. This creative meeting place offers space to art lovers and aspiring musicians, as well as flex workers and game fanatics. A real youth centre, in other words.
Let a youth centre be exactly where Keith Haring spent many of his days in his day. The murals from Keith Haring: Grace House Mural (on display at SCHUNCK since 7 March) even come from such a youth centre in the early 1980s. A great reason for a collaboration between In2YourPlace and SCHUNCK. In the project, about ten participants dive into Keith Haring's art in six meetings. The project concludes with a mural at the In2YourPlace location (Outpoet), made by the participating young people in the style of Keith Haring.
