Leaving a bequest to SCHUNCK

A bequest is a lasting gift to the culture you love. By including SCHUNCK in your will, you give future generations the chance to enjoy, learn and discover. This can be done through a legacy (a fixed amount or specific item), a share of the estate or by naming SCHUNCK as heir. Bequests to a Cultural ANBI (Public Benefit Organisation) are exempt from inheritance tax. As a result, your bequest benefits SCHUNCK in full.

SCHUNCK is also affiliated with Mijn Culturele Nalatenschap (My Cultural Legacy), the Limburg initiative that ensures art and culture in the region continue to exist for future generations as well.

Tax benefits

Since 1 January 2016, SCHUNCK has been a foundation recognised by the Dutch Tax Authorities as a Cultural ANBI (Public Benefit Organisation). This provides a tax benefit for both individuals and companies:

  • Your donation is exempt from gift tax. This means your gift benefits culture in full.
  • Donations are tax-deductible in your income tax return.
  • With a periodic donation (for a minimum of five years), your gift is fully deductible, without a threshold.
  • Donations to cultural institutions may be increased by 25% for tax return purposes, up to a maximum of €1.250 in additional deduction.
