Everyone knows it: there’s one day scarier than Friday the 13th… and that’s Saturday the 13th! On Saturday 13 December, we’re hosting something truly spooky – or, in good Limburgish: akeligs. A literary ghost tour from the upstairs office of the one and only city poet Louie Hamers. Because if anything is truly scary, it’s poems. Or prose. Or reading in general.

Ghosts, poetry, and the DSM collection

As part of the DSM collection exhibition Rooted in Change: DSM art collection from meeting room to museum, SCHUNCK Museum and the Library invite you on a tour that begins in Heerlen’s Dracula Castle: the abandoned DSM office. After exploring the nooks and crannies of this monstrous building together (and hopefully surviving), the quest continues towards Eikenderveld – and the terror goes on.

We finish, completely exhausted, on the dance floor of Café Tess. Spooky tunes guaranteed!
