A journey through queer literature

In all languages, cultures and times, people have written about deviating from the heteronormative: about being gay, lesbian or queer. This has often been referred to as 'being different', again underlining the heteronormative society we live in. During this literary soirée, writer Paul Weelen takes the audience on a journey through queer literature over the years. He talks about what literature helped him acknowledge and accept his orientation and which books quenched his thirst for recognition. With the help of some fine read-alouds and supported by music, images and historical background, Weelen will guide the audience through an evening of poetry, declamation and music.
