The Art Depot consists of three different halls, each with a different exhibition. The first two spaces have the theme of Vanitas, which complements the Andy Warhol exhibition.

The presentation in the third space is curated by a different guest four times a year. After Emile Roemer and Nancy Nijsten (Een hart voor een ander - A heart for another), the six gallery attendants of SCHUNCK— Andreas, Brecht, Frida, Jet, Robin, and Sandra — will choose their favorite works from SCHUNCK’s collection.

Switching Roles

Regarding their selection from the collection, they say: “As gallery attendants, we usually ensure that visitors have a pleasant visit to the museum. But this time, we got to switch roles: instead of guarding the artworks, we had the opportunity to select works from SCHUNCK’s collection. We are a group of six colleagues who primarily work independently in the different exhibition spaces. This opportunity brought us together and gave us a chance to explore each other’s tastes and choices.”

An entirety

"It was nice to see how everyone has their own preferences, which works were chosen, and how they came together as a whole. Each of us made a personal selection and looked for works that do not leave the collection very often. This selection of works is not only a reflection of SCHUNCK's collection but also of us as a team: despite our differences, we work well together and find common ground in our shared love for art, humor, and curiosity."
