What does a work of art mean to you? And which pieces would you select as a curator? Every year, residents of Heerlen explore the municipal collection of SCHUNCK to curate their own exhibition. In doing so, they not only become more familiar with the collection but also learn what it takes to create an exhibition.
HBGMENOESWMILI
In 2025, it’s the turn of Het Belangrijk Genootschap Met Een Nog Onduidelijke en Steeds Wisselende Maar Immer Literaire Inhoud: Het Genootschap (or HBGMENOESWMILI for short; in English: The Very Important Society With a Yet Unclear and Ever-Changing but Always Literary Content: The Society). This is the informal talent group of PANDA for young literary creators, led by Merlijn Huntjens. The talent group aims to help young people find their way within the literary scene both inside and outside of Limburg. It’s an eccentric club with online and offline meetings, performances, quirky writing assignments, and, of course, mascot goose Jos.
In March, the group will begin their journey, and from 17 May, their exhibition will be on display in the Aad de Haas Hall of the Glaspaleis (Tuesday to Sunday).
