Day of Silence in the Museum

To slow down, you have to pause for a moment. And then you begin to see more. What happens when you truly look closely? And what does it reveal about yourself? Take the time to spend an entire afternoon in quiet reflection, contemplation, and gentle wandering through the museum.

Start your summer (holiday) with a moment of calm during our Day of Silence. Take off your shoes and wander through the exhibition Ina van Zyl: Where Are You From at your own pace, the most extensive overview of Ina van Zyl’s work in the Netherlands to date. In her paintings, she zooms in intensely on toes, skin, flowers, fruit, and everyday objects. What first appears familiar is transformed through scale and colour into something entirely different.

A day of rest and reflection

Together with Annegreetje from Kwestie van Aandacht, we will slowly explore the exhibition. We will meditate, take part in a mindfulness guided tour, pause for tea, and above all make time to stop at your own pace and in your favourite place in the museum (sitting or lying down is perfectly welcome) to truly look and become still. On this Monday, the museum will be closed to all other visitors, offering an exclusive moment for yourself.

Mats, cushions, and other materials are all provided by the museum. Simply wear comfortable clothing and we will take care of the rest.
