De Buitenspiegel: The Lobster

This year, De Buitenspiegel returns to Aambos Park. In collaboration with Cultura Nova and SCHUNCK, Filmhuis De Spiegel presents 'The Lobster', the darkly comic love story by Yorgos Lanthimos, which won the Audience Award at the Cannes Film Festival in 2015.
In this strange version of the near future, living as a single person is forbidden. Those without a partner are taken away and given a limited time to find one. Fail to do so, and you are transformed into an animal and released into the woods.

Aambos Park provides a compelling setting for this slightly absurd film with elements of horror, inviting viewers to reflect on love and relationships in contemporary society.
