Finissage: Ride with Erosie
On Saturday 30 May, Ride with Erosie takes place: a collective gravel ride from Maastricht to Heerlen, followed by the finissage of artist Jeroen Erosie’s presentation Detour Detour in the SCHUNCK display window.

The ride starts at bicycle shop Off The Map in Maastricht, where Jeroen Erosie previously created a mural. From there, participants follow a socially paced route with several detours towards Heerlen. The ride ends at the Glaspaleis, where Erosie’s presentation Detour Detour is on view in the SCHUNCK store window.
Around 3:00 pm, the cyclists will arrive at SCHUNCK. Visitors who are not joining the ride are also welcome to attend the closing event.
Finissage at SCHUNCK
From approximately 3:30 pm, a closing event centred around Detour Detour will take place at the SCHUNCK store window. Jeroen Erosie will briefly speak about the project and present the publication created especially for the exhibition. Afterwards, there will be an opportunity to have a drink together at Café Tess.
About Detour Detour
From 16 March onwards, Jeroen Erosie presented Detour Detour in the monumental SCHUNCK display window. For this presentation, he explored Heerlen by bicycle. Striking buildings, shapes, and details encountered along the way formed the starting point for new murals in the store window.
Observations from the city are translated into intuitive linework that develops into an ever-changing composition of lines, planes, and colour. The presentation is on view until 31 May.
