Mans’ installation of painted set pieces, sculptures and drawings unfolds to the viewer as an intimate  interior. The ambience is dusky, something is brewing. It seems as if a veil has just been lifted, followed
by the slow reveal of dreams, fears, memories.

Mans’ installation is at the same time an ‘inner world’ in which she explores domestic rituals, surrealism in contemporary life, and the intimacy of enclosed spaces. Foreground and background seem to blur and the mundane is intertwined with a magical reality. It is a world between dream and reality, between what is  suppressed and what is tangible. With her installation, Mans invites the audience to step into the setting of her inner world.
