Looking through your eyelashes – Students present visual work
What do you see when you look through your eyelashes? Where does reality end and the dream begin? As part of the current exhibitions, SCHUNCK presents the work of around fifty second-year students from the Maastricht Institute of Arts (Visual Communication department) on 27 and 28 June.

De Nieuwe Galerij. Raadhuisplein 19, Heerlen
Under the title Looking Through Your Eyelashes, each student explores a ‘twilight zone’ in their own way: a space charged with tension between light and dark, memory and longing, spirituality and the everyday.
The students — from the fields of graphic design, illustration, photography and film — drew inspiration from artworks in SCHUNCK’s current exhibitions. Guided by their own fascinations, they explored themes such as visibility and invisibility, real and unreal, inside and outside. The result: autonomous visual group works that transcend disciplines – from film and photography to typography and installation.
