Mindfulness in the museum
Experience the museum in silence and movement — this summer we combine art and mindfulness amid the exhibition.
This summer, we’re exploring new ways to elevate the museum experience, as museums also invite contemplation. The exhibition On the Other Side of the Ocean, especially the works of Rinella Alfonso, provides the backdrop for mindfulness sessions in the museum. Together with Annegreetje Wolfs, yoga teacher and mindfulness trainer, you can experience the museum in a completely new way. Each one-and-a-half-hour session focuses on mindfulness, while also encouraging you to explore and observe the exhibitions from a fresh perspective.
For added depth, each session is followed by a guided tour through the museum, bringing the exhibition’s story to life. Mats, cushions, and other necessary items are all provided at the museum.
Annegreetje Wolfs is a mindfulness trainer, ACT coach, and yoga instructor. She is the founder of Studio Kwestie van Aandacht, where she supports people in living mindfully and resiliently. She teaches people how to handle stress and daily challenges with greater awareness.
