Just like Warhol's legendary studio The Factory — where art, music, and performance came together — Greylight Projects is a place for experimentation and the exchange of ideas. During this evening, the artists will take you through the various studios in the former school building on Schaesbergerweg.  They will talk about how they work, what they are working on and reflect on how Greylight's studio influences their work.

Walk-in is from 19:00, start of the tour is at 19:30. No need to sign up, just walk along. There will also be free soup during the TALK&WALK.

About Greylight Projects

Greylight Projects is a visual arts platform in Heerlen where artists are given the space to reflect on their surroundings through their artistic practice. With studios, guest residencies, and an exhibition space, it offers artists a place for creation, collaboration, and dialogue. During the autumn 2025 residency period, the artists Hugo Kostrzewa, Renée Stravers, and the collective Komunitas Gubuak Kopi will be hosted.

About the artists:

  • Renée Stravers explores how the environment and architecture shape the perception of space and challenges visitors to think about what happens when we let go of the structures that influence our perception. She continues her research in Heerlen, asking how physical space relates to mental space.
  • Hugo Kostrzewa delves into his sensory approach to art, investigating how matter and relationships come together in his work with food, fermentation, and performance.
  • Krista Jantowski introduces her collaboration with Komunitas Gubuak Kopi around the cultural memory of the mining industry and their exploration of the shared colonial past of coal.

Warhol Cafés

Under the motto "With Warhol into the neighborhood," SCHUNCK is organizing a series of Warhol Cafés during the exhibition *Andy Warhol: Vanitas*, in collaboration with cultural partners. Each café explores themes from the exhibition or Warhol's life in an accessible way, with an in-depth program in a surprising setting.
