Yoga in the museum
Experience the museum in silence and movement — this summer we combine art and yoga amid the exhibition.
This summer, we’re experimenting with ways to elevate the museum experience, as museums also invite contemplation. The exhibition On the Other Side of the Ocean, especially the works of Rinella Alfonso, provides the backdrop for yoga in the museum. Together with Annegreetje Wolfs, yoga instructor and mindfulness trainer, you can experience the museum in a whole new way. During each one-and-a-half-hour session, yoga takes centre stage, but you’ll also explore and observe the exhibitions from a fresh perspective.
For added depth, each session is followed by a guided tour through the museum, bringing the story of the exhibition to life. Mats, cushions, and other necessities are all provided at the museum.
Annegreetje Wolfs is a mindfulness trainer, ACT coach, and yoga teacher. She is the founder of Studio Kwestie van Aandacht, where she guides people towards living mindfully and resiliently. She teaches how to deal with stress and challenges in daily life more consciously.
