Ina van Zyl, Tragiek van tenen, 2002, olieverf op doek, 40 × 55 cm.

On the occasion of the exhibition Where Are You From, nai010 publishers presents the first major monograph on Ina van Zyl.

This English-language publication offers an overview of her work from 1997–2025, bringing together paintings, drawings and comics in one richly illustrated volume.

Van Zyl is known for her radical close-ups of bodies, flowers and everyday objects. Her work is intimate, unsettling and deeply physical, moving between vulnerability, desire and displacement. Essays by Fabian de Kloe, Cynthia Jordens, Dominic van den Boogerd and Diana Quinby place her oeuvre in context. The book also includes an extensive interview with the artist by Joël Riff. Designed by Akiko Wakabayashi, the publication features photography by Peter Cox.

The monograph will be published in June 2026 and will be available in the SCHUNCK museum shop and online.
