Curator for a day exhibition on show from 14 June

Every year, a different group of Heerlen residents dives into the SCHUNCK municipal collection to create their own collection exhibition. During this project, the participants get more insight into the process of making an exhibition and on the other hand, they get to know the collection works (better). After all, the collection belongs to and caters everyone, and especially every Heerlen resident. 

In 2020 and 2021, residents of residential care complex Parc Imstenrade and art club Vrie-Art from Heerlen's Vrieheide district participated in the project. After collaborating with ‘PAND last year, this year it is up to the Vrienden van SCHUNCK to create an exhibition.  

 

Twelve enthusiastic ‘Vrienden’ (or 'Friends') have worked their way through SCHUNCK's collection in recent months. Armed with opinions, knowledge and preferences, they looked at artwork after artwork after artwork. Conversations and discussions were held, texts were written and help was given with decorating, with the end result being a collection exhibition entitled Entrer. It can be admired from 14 June to 25 August. As a visitor, you get a whole new view of the SCHUNCK collection. Thanks friends!
