What is Driver’s Seat?
Driver’s Seat is SCHUNCK’s dynamic youth group where creatives come together to explore and experience art and culture. As a member, you get a unique opportunity to contribute ideas for SCHUNCK’s exhibitions and activities and are challenged to develop your own cultural project.
Edition 2024-2025: 'Andy Warhol: Vanitas'
This year, we focus on the exhibition Andy Warhol: Vanitas. This exhibition explores themes such as transience, spirituality, and the symbolism of death through Warhol's iconic works. Highlights include the famous ‘fright wigs', blacklight paintings, personal items, and rarely shown drawings.
As a member of Driver’s Seat, you'll delve deeper into the exhibition and decide as a group how you want to contribute. For example, you might organize an event related to the exhibition or engage directly with works from SCHUNCK's collection. The choice is up to Driver's Seat!
Additionally, you will take a tour guide training course where you’ll learn how to lead visitors through exhibitions and have the opportunity to visit other museums. These study visits offer insight into the cultural sector and help expand your knowledge and network.
When?
Driver’s Seat meetings take place every two weeks on Wednesday evenings from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at SCHUNCK Glaspaleis. We start on 30 October and will work together until the end of the school year.
