“The ten selected artists each bring their own interpretation to what it means to be an artist. What connects them is a direct relationship with a world in motion. Together, they offer a glimpse of a new generation of artists from Belgian and Dutch Limburg. To mark SCHUNCK Museum’s 30th anniversary, this generation is brought together with the first: in the atrium, Paul Devens, winner of the very first Parkstad Limburg Prize in 1996, is exhibiting."
About the Parkstad Limburg Prize
The Parkstad Limburg Prize is an art prize established in 1996 to build a bridge between young artists, the business community, government and the public. Awarded by Stichting Promotie Limburgse Kunstenaars, the prize gives young artistic talent from Limburg (up to 35 years old) a platform and € 10,000 to further develop their practice. As the venue for the exhibition and a partner in the collaboration, SCHUNCK is once again proud to contribute to this year’s edition.
Made possible by SCHUNCK, the Municipality of Heerlen, the Province of Limburg and Stichting Promotie Limburgse Kunstenaars.
