SCHUNCK interviews René Progin

The sculpture ‘Shuttlecock’ by Swiss artist Jean Tinguely, who died in 1991, is now on display at SCHUNCK. Former driver René Progin (72) came to Heerlen with Tinguely's son to install the artwork. 

Jean Tinguely was known for his moving and self-destructing machines that produce a spectacle of movement and sound. For three years - from 1988 until his death in 1991 - Tinguely designed the sidecars and racing suits of his friend and racing driver René Progin. The 1988 sidecar was disassembled into the sculpture Shuttlecock.
