Frictions #3: OUTPOET Night XL

At Frictions we celebrate emotions one evening a month, together with our favorite creative players in town, in the middle of the exhibition 'In for life: 10 years of David Bade in Heerlen'. In February, the emotion 'happy' took center stage, and that was framed by a solid musical program.

OUTPOET Night @ Frictions Festival

With some regularity OUTPOET, the cultural breeding ground of Heerlen, presents OUTPOET Nights: atmospheric evenings with music, art and poetry. In February, this event crossed the Heerlen Pancratiusplein to SCHUNCK Glaspaleis for an XL edition in the form of 'Frictions'.

Musical acts like Mt. Atlas, Housepainters, and Saint Pierre presents: 273 turned the museum into a temporary pop temple. In the world of OUTPOET we also met creative makers such as kashka, Roy "Boy" Aldi, beatrice pittman, Nadya Bonter-Slenders, Lieke Varkevisser, Isabelle Numan, Miko Photography, Gina van Es and Bente Snijkers. They brought their artworks and creations to the central hall of the Glaspaleis. On the second floor there was a game club and people participated in 'OUTplayed - 'Till Death Gives Us Parts Playtest'. Think board games, Magic: The Gathering, Pokémon and Disney Locarna Casual.
