Located on the edge of the Ringstrasse, the challenge of the urban intervention is to mark with intensity this transitional space between the historic centre and the districts. The notions of scale, centrality, authority and signs constituting this ring are questioned through a reinterpretation of 19th century scenography: seeing without being seen. Thus, large urban pieces project a violent constraint on the city: to pass under the radar of an authoritarian and social control made harmless by their positioning in the structure of the Ringstrasse.

Beyond this new threshold, characterised by the development of specific atmospheres and climates, a new urban space - disbursed - appears as if it had always existed and links the heterogeneity of the facades that border it, their bases.
The projected extension - emergence of the public space - rewrites the existing wall and links the North and South wings of the convent by subtly reinvesting fragments of Architecture pushed "to the risk" of their definition: a factitious facade invested, a disproportionate ventilation courtyard. These elements define the transitional moments of the museum's itinerary and are dissociated from the monastic circulation.

The strategy adopted on the north wing aims to define - by economy of means - spatial devices allowing to maintain the use of the building on the long term by the modularity projected on the perimeter of the coworking spaces. Complementary to all the spaces contained in the convent and in view of its urban position, an amphitheatre space (public/private) takes full advantage of the space under the roof. Its régie - a trophy plugged into the buttress of the north façade - fuels a questioning of the strategy of the "concentric programme" (Koolhaas, 2011) developed by the City and questions the notion of centrality. There is no more peripheries.
