The project consists to create a high school in the city of Brussels for around 600 students. The ambitious is to create a school where studying is not limited to the classroom where all the building assume the development of the student.

We decide to distinct the educational place from the public one. This intention is creating thanks to the connection of all the public space with the street and to put the educational one, as classroom or library, upper. In this way, we encourage the development of student by itemizing their studying environment but we also make possible to offer the public functions to the district thanks to their position connect to the street.

We want to distinct but not separate, to create a building a relational entity. The relation is generating thanks to a polyvalent hall, which are able to assume diversity of functions. This polyvalence can be an extension for the cafeteria or a place to assemble for official or spontaneous gatherings…
It generates in the building a network where everything space have visual connexions between each other and bye making mobility in the building visible.

All the recreational outside place are developing high up from the park next to the building. Oriented to this park, The divisions in levels doesn’t separate them between each other but create different moment for students to appropriate the spaces.
