The road dam in Lindau serves as a development way for pedestrians and cyclists. On the side to Lake of Constance there lies the rail body, on the shore to the small lake there is a narrow however idyllic central reservation with old stock of trees. Here with a planned discharge of the dam of the rail traffic, a residential use becomes conceivable.

Task is to be planned it in this preferential position in the water 24 residential unities with high residential standard. On account of the low base and with reference to the history of the construction in Lake of Constance the buildings should be constructed in the airspace about the water as building on stilts.

At first the draught suggests a restructuring of the dam surface in a public side to Lake of Constance and a private shore on the other side to the small lake. Bank promenade and bicycle routes can be continued thus on the Lake of Constance side logically over the dam. Beyond the rails the central reservation will receive as the park about which now the new residential buildings are opened.

The posts take over in this draught not only constructive tasks, they should also stamp the external figure and be experienceable from the interior. The rooms are formed by hung up levels and the space limitation by the posts themselves. The buildings are opened about footbridges.

Inside sanitary functions and a large part of the pieces of furniture are taken up by a furniture rail. This functional rail divides the interior into a back development zone and a freely recordable space on the other side. In this manner it is also guaranteed privacy in the around glazed buildings. With the help of movable wall elements single rooms can be separated or be extended.
