The project articulates itself around two inner features of a library's mechanism.
-the public and irregular use of a sluggish and systematic matter.
-the cyclic side of this use (loan-read-return-loan...)
Therefore it develops itself following a simple scheme, with two components, two vectors dimensionned and oriented through the program.
>Stacks are the work's raw material. Their integration to public spaces shakes their inertia. The national archives slab rises under the public pressure and carry the building to its history.
>Public space's vertical pushing develops itself continually 'till the roof, turning to a distributing spiral for all the open areas, from the widest to the most intimate.
The library sets itself up as an intersection between urban and landscaping ways and flows; it works like an exchanger for those opposite typologies by pushing them face to face. Nature takes place on the boulevard and streets finally find their ways through Letna.
