It can be claimed that architecture manifests its era not necessarily by illustrating the current technology, but by becoming a context, a container for the experiential mode of that era. Each new architectural era has been ushered in by alterations in our structures of consciousness and thereby in our experience.

But what defines our era? And what position can one take when confronted with a shifted time concept, which mediates uncanny feelings of anxiety or even paranoia?

How we experience and how we express ourselves has changed dramatically through time and place. As philosopher Armen Avanessian states: “Time is changing. We are not just living in a new time or accelerated time, but time itself — the direction of time — has changed…now time arrives from the future. If people have the impression that time doesn’t make sense anymore, then the reason is, I think, that they have—or we all have—problems getting used to living in such a speculative time or within a speculative temporality. “

Experiencing virtual architecture becomes a theme of its own in the thesis, as the tools used today enable a full comprehension of a situation or a place without its solid counterpart. Does it mean then that the perception is not real?

Technology is not seen as only a tool of expression, but as a rather integral part of our human experience. Artificial places merged with nature so deep there is no more distinction between what is appropriated from humans and what already exists. Living becomes a riddle which I don’t want to solve but rather intensify.

The project serves as an investigating tool and can be interpreted in three different forms:
First, it suggests a new typology in the city.
Second, it accentuates the virtual double.
And third, manifests an anthropogenic landscape.
