Standing between the historic Postbahnhof and the highly frequented Ostbahnhof, the highrise building’s ground plan is derived from its closer context. In order not to block out the Postbahnhof, the tower is withdrawn diagonally, thus leaving the train station’s historic façade clearly visible from the main street. Furthermore the triangular form connects the Postbahnhof – Plaza with the one in front of the Ostbahnhof as well as forming the terminal wedge of the new office - district.
The tower is inclined diagonally towards the Postbahnhof. Facing the Ostbahnhof and thus the main direction of access on the ground level, the northern façade turns towards the historic train station while it develops upwards. The southern façade is equipped with large – sized louvres, reflecting sunlight deeper into the building and structuring the large glass surface.

These measures provide the tower its unique, dynamic elegance, which thus fulfills the demand for a building as a point of identification for the new district. Proportions and angle change with the viewer’s position within Berlin.

The tower’s constructive two nucleus’ are situated at the facades. Between the cores span the floors, supported by 6 mega – pillars. Those tilt in the direction of the tower’s inclination, thus strengthening the experience of the buildings unique geometry from the inside.

The Postbahnhof with its high quality rooms for exhibitions and conferences is integrated into the spatial program of the tower. Below the station’s plaza a “shortcut” connects the tower’s lobby with the Postbahnhof.
The building is designed as an office building including a few semi - public uses. In the lobby there is a media library, the central floor contains a sushi bar, fitness and wellness as well as the lounge as “high – light” are situated at the top.

From the use by creative agencies the tower’s name derives: CréaTour
