 THE SITE

The site of Coronmeuse functions by glued slices but those live on they-same like strips of highway circulation. The Park Astrid situated in full middle of the site is in self-sufficiency, disconnected of the Meuse near by some higher strips of multiple circulations and isolated of the quay of Coromeuse by a nautical yard and an urban freeway. It is a place where we have difficulty to be located.

The Coronmeuse plaza, in addition to be a confused maze of multiple circulations, has an only contact with the Meuse by an automotive circulation strip. The ice rink is also an isolated element, big closed box; it has an important visual influence on the site. The row of trees, other dominant element of the site, reinforces the effect of linearity.

THE PROJECT

The project expresses a will to create some visual and physical ties between the different slices. CIRCULATIONS that will distribute the project will be local and greatly pedestrian. The DARSE is a very important element in this one because it has the possibility to make live all spaces them to surroundings in harmony. The HALL OF FAIRS is going to function with the old ICE RINK to give him back a new sense and to hang up it to the site. We will affect him a function that permits him to participate with the hall. To enter in the logic of the site, the hall functions in length and articulate on a plaza that is the physical tie between the Meuse and the forehead frame. This PLAZA marks a transition between Liège and Herstal. There is whole zone of plant and trees that will permit a walk very close to the Meuse and the Darse. The SPORT is integrated in this walk to have a pleasant ambiance.
