The Heerlen Rooftop Project ‘Yellow Sky Trail’ is designed by Studio CLAUD.
Yellow Sky Trail is a boardwalk in the sky that connects rooftops in the center of Heerlen. Like a prairie trail it runs through wild nature park, vegetable farm, solar panel farm, sky village, sky play located on the roofs of Heerlen. Each of these ‘prairie lands’ contribute to the urban ecology and economy while enriching public life. The trail connects the rooftops either by a lookout bridge or a hilltop bridge creating a varied urban topography, landscaping diverse views of the city.
