On Tuesday evening, 5 May, SCHUNCK will open its doors for the Freedom Dinner. You are warmly invited to join us for this special three-course dinner in the Glaspaleis. The Freedom Dinner begins with a variation on the traditional ‘Freedom Soup’, followed by a main course and a dessert. Throughout the evening, you will be treated to a variety of personal and meaningful insights.

Celebrate freedom with culture

The programme features short readings by participants in the Schrijfwerkplaats (writing workshop), an initiative focused on creative writing for people with a refugee or migrant background. They work on their creative writing skills under the guidance of professional authors.

The string ensemble of SCHUNCK Music & Dance will perform a short musical interlude this evening. Musicians playing the cello, violin, viola and double bass perform together in the ensemble. Each musician contributes to the whole with their instrument. Let yourself be carried away on their musical journey this evening.

We will conclude the dinner with a small dessert in the unique setting of the museum hall where the Passaasj Parkstad exhibition is on display.

For the kids

Freedom is a theme for all ages. That’s why there’s a children’s table with an accessible and playful programme. Together with the VoorleesExpress, there will be a story reading, after which your child can get creative. They’ll then explore the museum on a short, fun discovery tour.
