At SCHUNCK, you can explore the work of ten nominees for the Parkstad Limburg Prize 2026. This prize, celebrating its thirtieth anniversary this year, is intended for young artists who have an artistic connection with Dutch or Belgian Limburg.

The prize was first awarded in 1996 under the name Landgraaf Prize. Since then, the initiative has grown into an important incentive for young talent in the region. The Parkstad Limburg Prize builds a bridge between artists, businesses, government and the public.
For this edition, artists were invited to submit work. From all entries, a professional jury selected ten nominees: Taqwa Ali, Rachel Daniëls, Mounir Eddib, Eline Kersten, Floor Martens, Mike Moonen, Darcy Neven, Caroline Sarneel, Simone Schuffelen en SOEP Collectief. Their work is on view in this exhibition at SCHUNCK Museum.
On Saturday 23 January 2027, both the jury prize and the audience prize will be awarded. The exhibition will remain open for another three weeks afterwards.
To mark its thirtieth anniversary, SCHUNCK is presenting work by Paul Devens in the Atrium, the very first winner of the Parkstad Limburg Prize in 1996.
