Starting in November 2025, a new semi-permanent architecture display will be on view on the mezzanine in the entrance hall of the Glaspaleis: Modernism in Motion – From Glaspaleis to Parkstad.

The exhibition offers an overview of the rich modernist heritage in Parkstad Limburg — the era during which the Glaspaleis itself was built. It explores both the quantity and the quality of this architectural legacy.

Alongside a regional map featuring a selection of key examples, the focus is on the transformation of this heritage. The exhibition highlights exemplary buildings that have already been successfully repurposed, are currently in transition, or deserve special attention in light of their future life cycle.

It also features a ‘demolition cabinet’ spotlighting buildings that have already been lost, and a ‘selection cabinet’ that each year highlights a remarkable design or realised transformation project.

The official opening takes place on 15 November 2025, during the festive presentation of the 35th Euregional Architecture Prize (EAP).

From 16 November, the exhibition is free to visit on the mezzanine in the central hall of SCHUNCK.
