Yves Dupont / VAK-huis a house for craftmanship in Limburg
New in 2021 is the cabinet series 'Dreaming Out Loud'. This series focuses on young designers and artists who have barely had a platform in Limburg and the Euregion.

Yves Dupont, originally from Belgium and winner of the 2018 Euregional Architecture Prize, will open this new series. His graduation project “VAK-huis — a house for craftsmanship in Limburg” focuses on promoting local craft, expertise and sustainable design within an architectural landscape that is becoming increasingly generic as a result of capitalism and globalisation. It is an intriguing design that offers local companies, craftspeople and students a place to meet, work and learn, while also encouraging reflection on climate issues and exploitation within today’s manufacturing industry.
The cabinet will be opened as part of the Day of the Young Designer and will be on view for over two months on the first floor of SCHUNCK Glaspaleis.
