In 1991, the first Euregional Prize for Architecture (EAP) was awarded to Jos Kramer, Academie van Bouwkunst Maastricht, for his graduation project Museum voor Industriële Archeologie.

The way in which a phase of industrial history (...) was shaped with architectural means as a triumph of the substructure over the superstructure and given a strong landmark character, the jury particularly appreciated.
