Frictions #4: Kool Cult
Hip-hop platform Kool Cult and SCHUNCK joined hands on Thursday 7 March 2024, for the fourth edition of Frictions Festival, featuring talented artists, dancers and creative collectives from Heerlen and beyond.
The setting was special; that is, in the middle of the exhibition 'In for life: 10 years of David Bade in Heerlen', in the museum in the basement of the Glaspaleis.
Programme frictions festival 4
What was on the programme? Well, we had battles by Breaking Games (collaboration between HFC, Rawthentic and Stardust) with the best breakdancers from Limburg and beyond. Our guests could also get their own clothes printed with a unique print by fashion brand Tears, known for artists such as Ray Fuego and Joost Klein. A great chance to score an exclusive garment available, only on this night.
Ofcourse there was music and a skate residency by collective Loose Ankles. Especially for this occasion, the Heerlen skaters built a brand new mini-ramp, which dominated the Glaspaleis. They showed off their skills throughout the entire evening.
SCHUNCK's youth group, Driver's Seat, gladly gave museum tours to those who were interested.
