From viewing questions to art conversations: guided tours in July
In July, discover SCHUNCK in three very different ways. Whether you're visiting with children, looking for deeper insights, or curious about art in unexpected places — there’s a tour to suit you. And good to know: all tours are free; you only pay for a museum ticket where required.
Sunday Tour – In-depth exploration of the exhibition
On 29 June, 13 and 27 July (and on 17 and 31 August), join a guide to dive into On the other side of the ocean, the duo exhibition by Rinella Alfonso and Charles Eyck. Discover how their worlds connect through themes like memory, heritage, and cultural ties. Why did Charles Eyck travel to Curaçao? What do Rinella Alfonso’s dreamlike images reveal? The tour offers both context and room for conversation.
29 June, 13 & 27 July, 17 & 31 August, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 AM
Art Tour – Surprising and diverse
During the art tour, you’ll wander through the Glaspaleis, from the staircase to the store window. Discover artworks scattered throughout the building – from political imagery in the staircase to Kevin Osepa’s dreamscapes and the exhibition by Het Genootschap in the Aad de Haas gallery. This is not your classic museum tour, but a discovery of hidden gems.
Every other Sunday, following the Sunday tour, 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM
Museum Tour for (Grand)parents and Kids
Especially for children aged 6+ and their (grand)parents, there’s an interactive family tour on Wednesday afternoons. Guide Sanne will take you along colourful stories, surprising shapes, and funny details. You won’t just be looking – you’ll get hands-on too. What you’ll be doing exactly? That’s a surprise.
Every Wednesday in July, at 2:00 PM or 3:00 PM (check the event calender for exact times)
All tours are free of charge, but registration is required. For some tours, a museum ticket is needed. View all dates and sign up:
