Join the guided tours in August

On three different dates in August, you can join a guided tour of the exhibition Alevtina Kakhidze: Windows, signs of peace. 

On Saturday 3 and 17 August from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. and on Friday 16 August from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., you can take part in several guided tours belonging to Alevtina Kakhidze's work completely free of charge.

Family tour on Friday

On Friday 16 August, the tour is aimed at the whole family. You will be told about the works of Alevtina Kakhidze, the Ukrainian artist who makes drawings of her life every day, but you will also learn more about the exhibition ‘More than a thousand nights’! Because in the central hall of SCHUNCK Glaspaleis there is a special tent with drawings, which come from a whole other world: the world of fairy tales and stories. So: let yourself be taken on a journey to a world of mythical figures and ghosts, sultans and beggars, Sheherazade and Sinbad. Together with the tour guide, we will take a look at Alevtina's artworks and inside the tent.

saturday tours

During the Saturday tour, you will not only visit the store window of SCHUNCK and the +1, with works by Alevtina Kakhidze, but you will also go to St Pancratius Church. There you will see the works of fourteen contemporary Ukrainian artists, which also belong to this exhibition. The professional guide gives a general introduction to the exhibition, tells fun facts and is happy to talk to you.

Practical information

  • Saturday tours are aimed at adults.
  • The tour on Friday 16 August is geared to families and therefore extra interactive. The church will not be visited.
  • Maximum number of people: 20 per guided tour.
