Celebrate summer at SCHUNCK

Summer holidays are just around the corner – and at SCHUNCK, we’re celebrating with a summer programme full of creativity, art, and relaxation. From workshops and performances to art tours, yoga, and film: there’s something new to experience every week. Both in and around our SCHUNCK locations.

For children and families

From craft afternoons to story time and theatre performances – this summer is all about imagination, play, and fun. There are activities for children of all ages.

For (young) adults

There’s plenty to discover for older visitors too. How about yoga among the artworks? Or an art tour through the Glaspaleis? Together with Filmhuis De Spiegel, we’re also screening a series of special films inspired by the exhibition Rinella Alfonso & Charles Eyck: On the Other Side of the Ocean.

Many activities are free. Some require registration or a ticket – this will always be clearly indicated with the activity.

Adjusted library opening hours

During the summer holidays (14 July – 10 August), our library branches have adjusted opening hours:

📍 Hoensbroek: Monday & Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
📍 Heerlerheide: Tuesday & Wednesday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
📍 Heerlerbaan: Tuesday & Wednesday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM

The Glaspaleis Library is open every day throughout the summer. Want to borrow books, read, or cool down with a good story? You’re always welcome!

Holidays at Music & Dance

The music and dance school will be closed from 7 July to 17 August. Classes for the new course year start on 1 September. Want to join? You can sign up now!

Museum

The museum follows its regular opening hours: Tuesday to Sunday, from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM, you're very welcome to visit. This summer, there’s extra programming including additional Sunday tours, an art tour, and more.
