Parkstad Limburg Prize Exhibition
On Sunday 30 October, the Parkstad Limburg Prize has been awarded for the seventh time. For a period of three months after the day of the awards, there will be an exhibition of work by the 7 nominees and the winner - Morena Bamberger - in SCHUNCK.

SCHUNCK Glaspaleis
The prize is awarded by the Stichting Promotie Limburgse Kunstenaars and is handed out to visual artists who have gained professional qualifications, are aged 35 or under, and who have an artistic affinity with the Dutch and Belgian provinces of Limburg. Nominations whose work will be on display this year: Floor Martens, Liza Wolters, Mickey Yang, Mike Moonen, Morena Bamberger (winner!), Quinn Zeljak, Vera Gulikers and William Ludwig Lutgens. The work will be on display in the store window, the lobby, the mezzanine, and on the staircase and first floor of the Glaspaleis.
The winner will receive a cash sum, with the intention that this is reinvested in the development of their artistic talents. This time round, the jury will consist of the following: Fabian de Kloe (Artistic Director, SCHUNCK), Lene Ter Haar (Kulturreferentin, Dutch Consulate General Düsseldorf), Les Deux Garcons, Michel Vanderheijden van Tinteren and Roel Moonen (artist duo and former contenders), Annemie Van Laethem (Curator of Forum Triangulare, Kasteel Oud-Rekem) and Mathieu Bruls (architect and art-lover).

The Parkstad Limburg Prize is an artistic prize which was conceived in 1996 to build a bridge between young artists, the business community, public authorities and the general public. Stichting Promotie Limburgse Kunstenaars – the initiator – aims to support talented young Limburg artists in their professional development.
