Bibi about Kiki:

Between Keith and Kahlo, Kiki hopes to find her art, among all the kitsch, again this year at Driver's Seat ❤️ (Kitsch seen as all everyday life with its ups and downs).

Amber

Marjolein about Amber:

Amber is from Landgraaf and is currently in 5 VWO. She got on the Driver's Seat track through her art teacher. Amber would like to study art, but is still a bit hesitant about this. She really enjoys painting and drawing; she mostly makes abstract art.
In the future, Amber would like to try sculpting.

Vera

Britt about Vera:

Vera is joining Driver's Seat for the third time. The group and atmosphere really appeal to her. She really enjoys being able to engage with art together with young people. Photography is her passion; she completed her photography studies and one of her photos was shown at Marres during the Limburg Biennale. This photo has actually become her image. In the world of photography, street photography really appeals to her.

Ewoud

Ward about Ewoud:

Ewoud is a creative fresh mind with a huge passion for art, especially the rococo style. Besides looking at and experiencing art, he makes great (self) portraits himself and can enjoy taking long walks together with his scout friends. We can't wait to see more of him!

Maureen

Lin about Maureen:

Maureen is 20 years old. She first heard about Driver's Seat through art school. With a little extra time and a scoop of "why not" mentality, she decided to join in 2021. So this year, she is joining Driver's Seat for the second time. She is also graduating from art school this year. This artistic environment is not new to Maureen, with a lot of creative experience around theatre, dance and singing. However, she is currently working on visual arts for her final project, namely pigment research and watercolour creation.

Bibi

Amber about Bibi:

Bibi is already the third year at Driver's Seat and she is far from planning to leave. Bibi is mainly at Driver's Seat for the fun atmosphere and the lovely people. Her favourite artists are Isa Genzken and Mark Rothko and with them she would also love to take a look at the studio. Bibi is currently writing a fiction film. If she could choose, she prefers watching films in the middle of the night.

Linde

Kiki on Linde:

This is Linde. This first-year Driver's Seater would love the most to take a look at Vincent van Gogh's studio. After living abroad for a while, she hopes to make new contacts and create beautiful friendships by getting behind the wheel of Driver's Seat.

Ward

Maureen about Ward:

This is Ward. He has a great passion for art and graphic design, not surprisingly one of his favourite artists is David Hockney. The British artist is known for his paintings of swimming pools, which are also Ward's favourite. But he is also known for his landscape paintings, which suit Ward very well. Indeed, he has a great love for nature and would love to spend all day outdoors. But for now, he will join us again on an adventure with Driver's Seat!

Ps. Ward has a beard because he lost a bet

Lin

Ewoud on Lin:

Lin is 18 and has a gap year during which she works but also seeks out new things. Because she enjoys meeting new people and is interested in art, she participates in Driver's Seat. Lin's favourite artist is Anton Kiefer. Kiefer's works are large and abstract and appeal to her because she experiences, processes or feels artworks. In addition, Kiefer works a lot with materials so the texture that is created gives extra feeling; Lin finds that feeling more important than a pretty picture.

Veerle

Noha about Veerle:

This is Veerle. Veerle dances in her spare time and prefers to listen to music on a rainy day. An emotional lobster ♋️, she swims through life, preferably with a full stamped passport.

Shilo

Caro on Shilo:

A big fan of Andy Warhol and Nicki Minaj, Shilo always enjoys coming to Driver's Seat. Someday she would like to take a look at Berlinde de Bruyckere's studio, and she loves walking through her favourite museum K21. In between drinking a cup of raspberry-mint tea and stargazing in her pyjamas, she comes to Driver's Seat to broaden her artistic horizons!

Eefje

Veerle on Eefje:

Eefje has what you would call a 'happy go lucky' personality. With her twinkling eyes, she is inspired by everything around her. She is working on her own art and likes to do so outside the lines.

Noha

Shilo on Noha:

This is Noha. She sits at Driver's Seat to look at art with other young people, but can also enjoy a good book and a good dose of sunshine from her room. Frida Kahlo is her favourite artist, the emotion in her work really appeals to her.

Marjolein

Vera about Marjolein:

This colourful young lady is Marjolein and she is getting behind the wheel at Driver's Seat this year. Her dream came true when she was accepted at art school. Here, she walks her own path and allows herself to be drawn into the wonderful world of the arts. Outside the paths of the art academy, she also enjoys walking in the forest. She prefers to walk in nice trainers because she really is a sneakerlover! She also likes to dance across the paper with her pen. Thus, scribble art is a way for her to unwind and be free with art.

Britt

Linde on Britt:

This is Britt. Britt is in her first year of Driver's Seat, she joined us because she was a bit bored with school and looking for something new! Britt is very inspired by older artworks and is keen to learn more about the art world.
