Eight new exhibitions opened at SCHUNCK
20 May 2025
This past weekend, a festive opening was held at SCHUNCK for several new exhibitions. In the presence of both the public and the artists, a panel discussion took place, reflecting on the thematic connections between the exhibitions.
All presentations are now on view at the Glaspaleis, spread across various locations including the museum gallery, the Art Depot, the store window, the atrium, and the staircase.
Together, the exhibitions form a rich and multifaceted whole, where personal stories, (post)colonial history, spirituality, and everyday reality engage in dialogue. Curaçao emerges as a connecting theme in several exhibitions, as does the interaction between Limburg and the Caribbean region.
Newly opened on 20 May:
- Rinella Alfonso & Charles Eyck: On the other side of the ocean (museum gallery)
- Charles Eyck: From Baroque to Expressionism (Art Depot)
- Keetje Mans: Wandering and Coming Home (Art Depot)
- Keetje Mans: Ride the Range (and Never Worry) in Your Humble Abode (atrium)
- Het Genootschap as Curator for a Day: Dat die Hond uitlaat (Aad de Haas gallery)
- The Politics of Everyday Life (staircase; various artists)
- Kevin Osepa: Beneath a Sacred Street (store window)
- Driver’s Seat — WHAT LIVING DOES TO A MOTHERFUCKER (Art Depot)
The exhibitions can be visited during regular opening hours of SCHUNCK Glaspaleis. More information on each exhibition is available in the programme overview.
